A Kebbi State High Court sitting in Birnin Kebbi has sentenced a 40-year-old guy, Bello Musa, sometimes called Katuka, to loss of life by means of placing for culpable murder and 5 years’ imprisonment for dishonest.

Justice Hassan Shehu Kuwa delivered the judgment after discovering Musa accountable on 3 counts of felony conspiracy, culpable murder and dishonest, opposite to Sections 60(b), 191(b) and 308 of the Kebbi State Penal Code Law, 2021.

Musa was once arraigned on November 22, 2024, over the loss of life of 31-year-old Shamsiyya Usman. According to the prosecution, the convict lodged with the sufferer in a lodge in Birnin Kebbi in November 2024, poisoned her drink and left her dead frame within the room.

Police arrested him after investigations have been introduced following the invention of the frame on the lodge.
