The Minority in Parliament has criticised the federal government’s resolution to lift public capital salaries by means of 9 in line with cent, describing it as a “massive betrayal” of Ghanaian staff dealing with worsening financial hardship.

The Minority additionally criticised the federal government’s broader fiscal profit, announcing, “This administration cannot continue to tax more, borrow more, spend more, and then compensate workers with less.”

According to the Afigya Sekyere East MP, “Salary adjustments must be based on the real cost of living, not political optics.”
