With lower than 24 hours to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship number one election, Governor Ademola Adeleke has resigned his club from the birthday celebration.

The PDP Chairman in Osun State, Mr Sunday Bisi had on Monday disclosed that the birthday celebration would now not grasp the principle election on Tuesday as scheduled because of factional disaster throughout the birthday celebration and that Governor Adeleke is not fascinated by choosing the birthday celebration nomination because of the disaster.

However, a letter that emerged from the birthday celebration nationwide Secretariat insisted that the principle election would grasp on Tuesday on the Atlantic multipurpose Hall within the state originality.

Meanwhile, the Governor in a letter dated November 4, 2025 which surfaced on Monday night time resigned his club from the birthday celebration.

The letter which used to be addressed to the birthday celebration Chairmen of Sagba ward 2 in Ede attributed the disaster within the birthday celebration as the explanation in the back of the governor’s determination.

According to the letter, titled: “Resignation of my club of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP)’ learn, “Due to the present disaster of the nationwide method of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), I hereby surrender my Membership of the People’s Democratic Party with fast impact.

“I thank the People’s Democratic Party for the opportunities given to me for my elections as a Senator (Represented Osun West) and as Governor of Osun State under the People’s Democratic Party.”
