Institute of Climate and Environmental Governance (ICEG)has warned that the new tariff hikes licensed through the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) will unfairly burden bizarre Ghanaians, “leaving customers in the dead of night” as an alternative of easing their plight.

The Institute of Climate and Environmental Governance (ICEG), in a commentary dated Wednesday, December 3, 2025, strongly criticised the regulator’s determination to extend electrical energy price lists through 9.86% and water price lists through 15.92%, efficient January 1, 2026.
