The Minister of Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh has appealed to mining firms to take over, whole and equip the Agenda 111 sanatorium initiatives of their operational spaces.

He stated the mining firms must paintings with the federal government to function the amenities.

Speaking at a press briefing in Accra on Monday [Dec 1, 2025], Mr Akandoh stated the industry was once to make certain that most of the stalled sanatorium initiatives have been finished.

“Wherever we’ve Agenda 111 hospitals which can be uncompleted, and there’s a mining organization there, we’re encouraging them to take over, whole it, equip it, and spouse with the federal government to run it,” he stated.

Mr Akandoh stated concentrated on mining corporations represents a selected implementation of the wider partnership industry, that specialize in firms in resource-rich spaces.

He cited present examples of company involvement in healthcare, noting that the Maritime and the Bank of Ghana hospitals are examples.
