The Minister for the Interior, Mohammed Muntaka-Mubarak, has won a donation of various meals pieces from the Hudai Foundation to strengthen jail inmates all over the holy month of Ramadan.

The donation, introduced on the National Mosque in Kanda, Accra, contains rice, tomato paste, spaghetti, sunflower oil, and sugar. It used to be passed over as a gesture of goodwill and charity via the Foundation.

Speaking on the handover, Mr Muntaka-Mubarak expressed his gratitude to the Hudai Foundation and the Turkish Ambassador to Ghana.

He stated the contribution would cross some distance in bettering the residing prerequisites of inmates.

“We appreciate this kind gesture from the Hudai Foundation and the Turkish government,” the minister stated.

“As a ministry, we are committed to ensuring that the health and well-being of inmates are taken care of despite their circumstances. We welcome any support that can help improve conditions in our prisons.”

He additionally confident the Turkish Ambassador of the Ministry’s dedication to strengthening bilateral family members between Ghana and Turkey.

The minister thanked the Ambassador and the Hudai Foundation for his or her annual donation and referred to as on different organisations to strengthen the Ghana Prisons Service in its efforts to reinforce inmate welfare.

Hudai Country Coordinator, Mr Remzi Şeker, defined that the donation is a part of the Foundation’s ongoing charity and goodwill projects.

“Ramadan is a month of blessings and sacrifices, and we believe it is our duty to support those in need. We will continue to do our best to provide support to the needy and vulnerable, including prison inmates,” he stated.

The Hudai Foundation is a Turkish charitable organisation that gives humanitarian help to prone populations, together with orphans, widows, and prisoners.
