Madina Member of Parliament, Francis Sosu, is tough that the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) be summoned prior to Parliament to account for the detention of personal criminal practitioner, Martin Kpebu.

In an interview with TV3, Mr Sosu condemned the detention as unacceptable and insisted that the OSP should justify its movements.

“The OSP must be hauled to Parliament to explain why it detained Martin Kpebu. This act should not be condoned,” he stated.

Mr Kpebu was once reportedly detained in reference to an ongoing investigation.

The Madina MP, together with different critics, has raised issues in regards to the legality and transparency surrounding the OSP’s habits, caution that such movements possibility eroding public self belief in legislation enforcement establishments.

He emphasized that Parliament should workout sturdy oversight over the OSP to make sure responsibility and give protection to democratic assessments and balances.
