The Duke of York, Andrew Albert Christian Edward, simply known as Prince Andrew, has renounced his royal title.
Prince Andrew, the third child and 2d son of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, and younger brother to King Charles III, presented his selection in a statement on Friday.
“In discussion with the King, and my fast and wider family, now we have concluded the continued accusations about me distract from the artwork of His Majesty and the Royal Family,” the statement discussed.
“I’ve decided, as I always have, to place my accountability to my family and country first. I stand by the use of my selection 5 years previously to stand once more from public life.
“With His Majesty’s agreement, we actually really feel I will have to now transfer a step further.
“I will be able to due to this fact no longer use my title or the honours which have been conferred upon me.
“As I’ve discussed previously, I vigorously deny the accusations in opposition to me.”
